As a researcher, public historian, and writer, I aspire to scholastic activism.
What I study and learn informs the actions I take in the world, and I try to ensure that all the work I do is in alignment with my values.
I hope my work helps audiences look at things differently, absorb new knowledge, and subsequently take action - be it signing petitions to protect trans healthcare, attending protests against eugenicist factions across the U.S., shopping at Native-owned stores, or having potentially awkward conversations about historical myth-making.
In research, writing, and interpretation, act in solidarity.
